On Wendesday, SFDC was hit by a series of performance issues; this time around, however, the issue revolved around its email services. "performance degradation" in its email was first reported at 2:18 AM by Salesforce's System Status Site. This performance issue was still ongoing as of 5:30 AM PDT: customers (may experience slowness with email services,) according to the message.
So where does this issue lie? Here is what one observant had to say about it: " This becomes an issue when clients are about to kick off an email campaign or align their sales activities with these email services," said Ray Wang, CEO of Constellation Research.
Salesforce.com is reported to have had a major outage this July with many application instances going down. In any event, Salesforce's transparency should be appreciated, nonetheless.
